The South Carolina General Assembly Legislative Audit Council (LAC) has issued a disturbing update to its audit of conditions in the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice.

A recently established book-banning committee will consider removing four books from all South Carolina public school classroom and library collections.

COLUMBIA – On Thursday, October 31, at 1 p.m., a subcommittee of the State Board of Education will embark on the first round of state-sponsored book bans. Of the 11 titles being challenged, an unknown reviewer recommended that 8 be banned and 3 be retained.
